LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

Argue on the functional areas of a Hotel, Casino, and Resort and critically evaluate the principles that influence them.

Effectively choose and apply management strategies and principles for a Hotel, Casino, and resort.

Determine the Hotel, Casino, and Resorts related trends.

Justify and support the role of hotels, casinos,s and Resorts in the local, regional, and global economy.

The program, Hotel, Casino and Resort Management, of Mesoyios College helps to prepare professionals to start their own hotel and/or casino business, start a franchise business or hold a managerial role in a hotel, casino, club, resort, or places such as companies, colleges, and universities. On the way to advancement to the rank of General Hotel/Casino Manager and Director of a hotel and/or casino unit, graduates of this program will be able to reclaim positions such as Gaming Manager, Head Receptionist, Reservations Manager, Front Office Manager, Rooms Division Manager, Floor Supervisor, Executive Housekeeper, Restaurant Supervisor, Maître D ‘Hotel, Restaurant Manager, Head Barman, Bar Manager, Assistant F & B Manager, F & B Operations Manager, F & B Administrations Manager, F & B Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, Hotel Operations Manager, Assistant Hotel/Casino Manager, Hotel/Casino Manager, General Hotel/Casino Manager, Director of Operations and Managing Director.

The hotel industry basically affects every industry, and well-trained and educated professionals in the field of middle and higher management are in great demand today. This number is expected to be increased dramatically over the next few years and very soon after the global financial crisis.

PATHWAY TO GLION

Option 1

After comparing and matching the curriculum of the two institutions, Glion Institute of Higher Education recognizes a combination of subject courses from the four-year program of Hotel, Casino, and Resort Management (Bachelor).

Students have the opportunity to take one (1) semester plus an optional internship (24-week internship) at Glion and earn a transcript with credits counted against their home degree.

Option 2

Students who successfully complete the four-year program of Hotel, Casino, and Resort Management (Bachelor) have the opportunity to continue their studies for the award of a Master’s degree at Glion.

Option 1

After comparing and matching the curriculum of the two institutions, Les Roches recognizes a combination of subject courses from the four-year program of Hotel, Casino, and Resort Management (Bachelor).

Students have the opportunity to take one (1) semester plus an optional internship (24-week internship) at Les Roches and earn a transcript with credits counted against their home degree.

Students who successfully complete the four-year program of Hotel, Casino and Resort Management (Bachelor) have the opportunity to continue their studies for the award of a Master’s degree at Les Roches.

A copy of your International passport Bio-data page.

A copy of your recent Passport Photo.

A valid copy of your Result Checker Card.

A valid English Language certificate (IELTS – 5.5, IGCSE – D, TOEFL IBT – 70, Password Test – 5.5, Anglia Examinations – Intermediate, Michigan Language Assessment (Proficiency of Michigan) – ECCE (52), Cambridge GCE AS Level English Language – C, University of Cambridge Exams)

All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of five (5) credits, in the Senior Secondary School Certificate (WAEC, NECO, SAT, KCSE, ZIMSEC, GCE).

Structure

The College guarantees all students a placement for practice in a luxury hotel(s) in Limassol, Cyprus (which is mandatory as part of their ECTS) for the whole duration of their studies, with a minimum net salary of €1,068 X 13 salaries per year, plus tips and many other benefits. Students from non-EU countries are eligible to work from the 7th month after arriving in Cyprus.
