To study Nutrition and Dietetics, it is recommended that the student have an interest in the areas of Biology and Human Physiology, and a health profile that enables them to carry out their work in the clinical and care environment. You must have scientific and intellectual concerns, as well as be willing to work both individually and in a team. It is also necessary to have a special interest in food and nutrition problems at a local and global level, as well as knowledge of eating habits and the properties, handling, and preparation of food.

All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of five (5) credits, in the Senior Secondary School Certificate (WAEC, NECO, SAT, KCSE, ZIMSEC, GCE).
