The bachelor's degree in Arab and Hebrew Studies provides the necessary training to understand and use the Arabic, Hebrew and Aramaic languages, as well as a third language, both orally and in writing, with linguistic and literary methods and new technologies, in order to produce professionals with a wide range of specializations. It trains students to be able to assess the importance of Arab-Islamic culture in al-Andalus and of Jewish culture in Sepharad, with regard to both the singularities of the creative processes of each one and their impact on the formation and development of Spanish society and its cultural manifestations and expressions. Through texts and other cultural expressions, it encourages knowledge and critical thinking of and about the major social issues of our times, from the perspective of the diversity and richness of the values of Near East cultures, in order to promote intercultural processes and the spread of human rights and democratic values.
