Description
The bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering produces graduates who are qualified to practice a variety of professions in the fields of basic, intermediate, end product and fine chemistry in any type of industry: chemical, food, biotechnological, pharmaceutical, etc.
The bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Barcelona trains experts on chemical process installation projects to be able to develop systems to affordably produce materials and chemical products, minimizing their negative impact on the environment, or work on the specific needs of the chemical industry (R&D engineering, projects, production, product design, marketing and sales), as well as on the development of emerging industries in fields such as biotechnology or electronic and polymeric materials. Students acquire the knowledge and skills to design and control production at chemical plants, as well as to lead quality assurance and environmental management projects. The course also provides training in experimentation methods, trials and process characterization, and monitoring, control and product optimization systems and technologies.
