Program Overview
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering has a strong master's program. We offer five master's courses and around 160 master's students join us each year.
The degrees are one-year full-time, and we have one intake a year, starting in October.
Through a blend of lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratories, advanced technical engineering expertise is developed in parallel with communication, project management, and leadership skills, all of which are vital for your future career.
Assessment techniques include exams, practical coursework, and a substantial individual thesis project.
Decisions on your application will be made in 3 rounds and applicants will receive a decision by the decision deadline below, depending on when they have submitted their application form. Due to the competitiveness of our courses, potential applicants are encouraged to submit their applications early to avoid disappointment.
Our MSc courses are accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council as meeting the requirements for Further Learning for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Candidates must hold a CEng-accredited BEng/BSc (Hons) undergraduate first degree to comply with full CEng registration requirements.

Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree with CGPA > 2.50/4.00 OR 3.0-3.5/5.00
