Take your career in healthcare to the next level with our FdSc Assistant Practitioner Higher Apprenticeship. You'll get the knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary to be a compassionate healthcare worker.
You'll learn to provide, supervise, and coordinate exceptional health and social care for a diverse range of people. When you complete the course, you'll be a competent healthcare professional. And, you'll have met the requirements for the assistant practitioner occupational standard.
Our two-year programme will give you the skills and knowledge needed to excel as an assistant practitioner in your chosen field. Delivered one day a week, the course is a blend of core and pathway modules. This will allow you and your employer to tailor your learning to suit service needs and professional goals. With our unique approach, you can customise your learning experience, making it more relevant and impactful.
Are you interested in nursing, physiotherapy, or occupational therapy? Our flexible curriculum caters to both face-to-face and online learners. There is ample opportunity for hands-on learning through on-the-job and off-the-job experiences. This means you'll be able to put your knowledge into practice and become a true expert in your field.
Requirement
Admissions decisions will be based on the following standard criteria:
72 – 80 UCAS Points
BTEC: Merit, Pass, Pass
Access to Higher Education Diploma: 72 - 80 points
GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4
Where a candidate is able to demonstrate substantial experiential learning, from their involvement in the Health and Social Care sector, this can be supported by their employer, this will be considered
Where a candidate does not have experience, appropriate qualifications at Level 3 will be required
Non-standard entry route: Due to widening participation, accreditation of prior experiential learning will be given full consideration. This will be measured with input from employing organisations, references, application and interview process
Proof of DBS clearance will be confirmed by the supporting organisation
A copy of your High School Diploma (O LEVEL & A LEVEL) e.g (WAEC, NECO, SAT, KCSE, ZIMSEC, GCE)
A copy of your International passport Bio-data page.
A copy of your recent Passport Photo.
A valid copy of your Result Checker Card.
All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of five (5) credits, in the Senior Secondary School Certificate (WAEC, NECO, SAT, KCSE, ZIMSEC, GCE).
Fees
Tuition fees are paid by an Apprenticeship Levy, so it’s free to you (the student). You won’t qualify for any funding from Student Finance.
