About the Department
The department of Chemical Engineering offers four full-time MSc courses and our highly international community comprises around 110 talented master’s students each year. These degrees allow students to explore advanced topics in chemical engineering and give them a unique opportunity to be involved in state-of-the-art research.
Throughout the MSc degree students will be supervised by one or more members of the department's distinguished, interdisciplinary research staff, some of whom are based in alternative departments or our partnership institute in Tokyo, Japan.
Program Overview
Undertake advanced study in chemical engineering on this one-year Master's course.
This varied program will also broaden your understanding of basic sciences, mathematics, and computing techniques.
Studying this course prepares you with a strong foundation of chemical engineering fundamentals and the ability to apply these to the industry.
This general stream allows you more choice in what modules you study, allowing you to focus on your areas of interest.
When you graduate, you'll be able to apply the concepts of sustainability, waste minimization, clean technology, and green chemistry to quantify the environmental impact of selected chemical engineering operations and design optimal strategies for pollution abatement.
You'll learn through a mixture of taught modules and a research project. Your project can be carried out at Imperial, within the industry, or at an approved institution.
The Department of Chemical Engineering offers four courses, with the opportunity to take a broad view or specialize in areas of chemical engineering in more depth.
Requirement
Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree with CGPA > 2.50/4.00 OR 3.0-3.5/5.00
