Native German speakers need good English skills, CEFR level B1. Non-native German speakers require a TOEFL test with at least 213 points or equivalent. English-speaking students with relevant qualifications are exempt from English proficiency tests.

Knowledge of German is useful but not mandatory.

Structure

Modules totaling 90 credit points are chosen from basic areas and concentrations in Geoinformation Technology, Space Geodesy and Navigation, Engineering Surveying, Estimation Theory, Computer Vision, and Remote Sensing. A project seminar is mandatory for the concentration.

The program includes a master’s thesis in the last semester worth 30 credit points. Detailed program structure is outlined in the study and examination regulations.

Fees

 TU Berlin semester/student fee - the fee is around € 310  and includes public transport in Berlin. The fees do not include such expenses as books, the compulsory German language course (approx. € 100 per semester), stationery, meals, healthcare insurance, visa and accommodation. In case that a field trip should be taking place during the second semester, this will require an own share of a maximum € 200 per student.
