Requirement
- Your resumé (curriculum vitae).
- Copy of your University degree(s), if already available.
- Complete transcripts from each university you have attended.
- A statement of purpose.
- The contact details of three academic referees, who will each be asked to produce a recommendation letter for you (except for holders of an EPFL Bachelor’s degree, and those who hold a Bachelor’s degree from ETH Zürich or a Swiss university or FHS/HES and are applying for a Master’s program in the same field of study).
- Your identity card or passport.
Additional requirement to apply for Architecture: a work portfolio is also required and must be uploaded to a dedicated web server. Candidates for Architecture must also have twelve months of professional experience. Please upload the work certificates in the online application form if already available. Extra documents, such as TOEFL or GRE scores, research publications, or other portfolios of your previous work, are welcome but not compulsory.
Structure
EPFL's Architecture program offers a unique blend of theoretical education and practical experience. Students engage in classes covering architectural history, theory, building techniques, and more, while working on architectural projects in workshops. The curriculum includes subjects like geometry and physics, providing a well-rounded training experience. Students have access to workshops, computing tools, a library, and various campus events to enhance their learning journey.
Study visits, workshop tours, and internships play a crucial role in the program, exposing students to real-world architectural contexts and developing essential skills. A one-year professional internship is mandatory between the Bachelor's and Master's degrees, ensuring hands-on experience in the field.

*The application form must be validated and paid for on March 31st at the latest. Application after that deadline is not possible.
