Description
The Master's degree in Computational Linguistics (LC), organized since 2001, aims to train graduates mainly from an IT and philological profile in the sense of deepening and complementing the common knowledge of the two fields. At the confluence of these fields is Computational Linguistics, an interdisciplinary field developed since the 60s, which aims to use the computer as a language investigation tool. In parallel, the fields of Natural Language Processing were developed, as a subfield in Artificial Intelligence, with the objective of creating programs that process human language, and Human Language Technologies, a software engineering discipline focused on the development of practical systems involving human language processing.
