Description
About the Department
In the Department of Mechanical Engineering, we recruit approximately 60 PhD students every year. We welcome applications for PhD study from suitably qualified applicants throughout the year.
There are several ways students can find their ideal PhD project: proposing a research project to a potential supervisor directly, contacting a research group to discuss possible projects, applying for one of our specific PhD studentships, or applying through a Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT). Use the links below to explore these options further.
No matter what subject area or project you are interested in, it is important that you contact your prospective supervisor to discuss eligibility and funding before you submit your formal application to the College.
