Electrochemistry is currently of great technological importance, both nationally and internationally. Electrochemistry is present in a wide variety of technological applications: energy accumulation and conversion (batteries, accumulators); surface treatments (galvanisation, metal deposits); industrial production (aluminium, zinc, nickel and chlorine/soda among others); waste water treatment and development of analytical techniques (sensors and biosensors).
