Description
About the Program
The program is designed with an emphasis on the theoretical and applied aspects of the field to enable the students to examine the requirements, design, and structure of the software to be developed, and then carry out software development using an appropriate programming language.
Program Aim and Outcomes
The main aims of the software engineering program are to raise software engineers that can develop software for different sectors in the most reliable and finest form, to be a pioneer in innovative developments in software engineering through R&D studies, to be able to work in a team and to be able to contribute in interdisciplinary software projects.
The outcomes of the Program are as follows.
- To acquire essential knowledge in specific branches of mathematics, science, and engineering;
- To develop an ability to apply theoretical and practical knowledge in related fields to model and solve real-world problems.
- To be able to define software architecture components, interfaces, and other components of the system concerned
- To have the ability to develop software including coding, verification, unit testing, and debugging.
- Ability to make basic quality measurements in software life cycle processes, and interpret them together with software development, validation, and testing.
- Ability to define, implement, evaluate, measure, manage, modify, develop software engineering processes, and prepare new versions of the software
- To be able to follow relevant literature and communicate with colleagues in a foreign language.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this program will be able to develop software in digitalized areas such as banking, telecommunication, e-commerce, etc. They will also be able to perform certain tasks in the designing, development, testing, and providing the continuity of software. They may also perform academic research in the field.
