Description
The Artisan Craft Design degree also gives manual skills and know-how for many other manual skills professions. Competence is accumulated by designing and manufacturing products for customers, participating in various sales and fair events, or organizing them yourself.
In the studies, it is possible to specialize in a specific production method, for example, decorative sculpture, sandblasting, laser processing, forging, or the production of certain products (e.g. furniture, jewelry, small products).
Completion of a professional basic degree gives general eligibility for further studies. You can continue your studies, for example, at a university of applied sciences or a university.
Requirement
· Functional basic language skills
· Basic education syllabus or similar information
· The field requires good visual skills, modeling and fine motor skills. Entrepreneurship, perseverance, cooperation and social skills are required from the operator in the field.
Structure
Students are selected based on an interview or an entrance
and aptitude test and, if necessary, a language test.
The applicant can get a maximum of 60 points from the interview. The
applicant can get a maximum of 10 points from the entrance and aptitude
test. The applicant can be left unselected if the training organizer
estimates that the applicant is not ready to complete the degree.

In the first academic year, we study basic manufacturing techniques and get to know wood, metal, and stone materials, the history of the industry, and the product design process. After that, we turn to carpentry, metalsmithing, stonemasonry, or multi-material manufacturing.

An artisan of craft design works, for example, in a carpentry shop, a stone carving workshop, or a metal workshop. Tasks vary in product manufacturing, maintenance, installation, or service tasks. A graduate can also work as an entrepreneur.
