Description

The Bachelor's Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets is based on a training model and teaching methodology that enables the acquisition of skills specific to the new European Higher Education Area.


Its main objective is to train the conservator-restorer to carry out the fundamental task that defines the profession:


The preservation of Cultural Assets, which consists of: their examination and diagnosis, their preventive conservation and restoration, as well as their documentation.

Requirement

Although there is no prerequisite for access to the Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets, and regardless of further regulatory developments, it is considered advisable for the student to have prior training that facilitates the acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities associated with this qualification.


In this regard, the following profile is recommended for future students of this degree:


Have a good linguistic background in Spanish, which enables them to develop a correct understanding of the content and adequate oral and written presentation.

Basic knowledge of European Union languages ​​that will allow them to easily understand the specific bibliography of the degree and participate in specialized forums. Basic knowledge of the field of science.

Basic knowledge of the types of Cultural Assets that constitute the Historical and Cultural Heritage, their problems and the possibilities for their conservation.

Basic knowledge of information and communication technologies (ICT).
