Description
The proliferation of data in various application domains has led to the emergence of the discipline of data science (DS), whose purpose is to extract knowledge, or value, from data. The objective of this training is to train engineers and researchers in data science capable of understanding and designing application solutions to problems relating to different data life cycles. In particular, they will develop skills in:
The collection of large amounts of data and their storage
Data analysis, information retrieval and knowledge extraction
Reasoning on this knowledge for decision making and value production.
Application cases from strategic areas such as smart cities, health and transportation will be studied and addressed.
Requirement
Access to M1 is conditional on a degree level in computer science, mathematics-computer science or equivalent.
Access to M2 is conditional on an M1 level in computer science or equivalent.
Structure
Training is available through work-study programs via apprenticeship or professionalization contracts.
A pedagogy based on projects and internships in the 1st year (3 to 5 months) and 2nd year (5 to 6 months) is set up. They can be carried out in a company or in a research laboratory.
