The bachelor's degree in Art History provides general training through global and critical knowledge of all areas of artistic production, its different manifestations throughout history, and its reception by society.
The bachelor's degree in History of Art is designed to reflect the evolution of the scientific discipline itself, history of art, and the social demands of knowledge increasingly related to aspects of conservation and management of historical heritage, to museums and the practice of cultural and art exhibitions, and to activities related to the art market. It provides students with knowledge of art and its diverse manifestations, as well as of the languages and techniques used, the theory of art and aesthetic thought, the most important exponents of each historical period, the various approaches to understanding art, the procedures for creating and dealing with artistic heritage, the most important publications, the political and industrial reality, and the various professions available in the field of art history. It develops students' analytical and critical spirit, artistic sensibility, and ability to apply the scientific method, accustoming them to dealing with works of art and enhancing their understanding of and ability to present art management projects.

A valid copy of your Result Checker Card.
All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of five (5) credits, in the Senior Secondary School Certificate (WAEC, NECO, SAT, KCSE, ZIMSEC, GCE).
In the case of foreign students from outside the EU, the passport or the TIE (Foreigner's Identification Card).
In the case of foreign students from the EU, they can present the passport or identity document issued in the country of origin or the NIE (foreigner identification number).
Be in possession of the definitive official recognition of their upper secondary school qualification and have passed the university entrance exam (PAU - EBAU) in the ordinary or extraordinary sitting.
Have the official recognition of the upper secondary school qualification (without having passed or taken the PAU - EBAU).
Be in possession of the provisional enrolment slip or application for official recognition of the upper secondary qualification.
Applicant profile and access requirements
What you will need Good reading skills, a knowledge of foreign languages (ideally, English, supported by a Romance language like French or Italian) and basic IT skills. Personal interest in the art history documented in collections and heritage sites (Barcelona and Catalonia) and in audiovisual media. Successfully completed school-leaver studies in humanities and social sciences, or in fine art; applicants should also have studied history, philosophy and literature.
